The first BioEYES workshop of the 2008 - 09 academic year was launched on September 8th at Riverside Intermediate School in Plymouth, Indiana!

What a wonderful week we had down at Riverside Intermediate!! The students were wonderful!! It was a full week of 200 students- I (Anita) had 100, and was blessed to work with Sue Turpin, while James Whitcomb and Jill Dzurisin had a great time in Tillie Kain's class of 100. Our fish did their best, and about 1/3 produced eggs for us. The remaining students were wonderful "adopter" parents, taking very good care of their babies. By the end of the week, I saw students glued to their microscopes, calling teachers over wanting to share their findings with us! This morning I received a wonderful packet full of thank you letters that the students had written. Wow-did that make my week!!! I'll have to share a few sentences from them- they were so encouraging.

Thank you, Tillie and Sue for inviting us into your classroom. It was a blast!
